Aren't works of art immersive experiences per se? Yes, if we as visitors manage to allow ourselves to be captured and carried away by the visual or narrative worlds of the exhibit. But this sometimes requires some contextual knowledge or at least the openness and interest to engage with what we see.

For us, enhancing exhibitions with immersive experiences means working with the exhibits, with the spaces, with the scenography and making it possible to experience them in a new, expanded way. Audio is the ideal tool for this because it makes it possible to invite visitors into a virtual environment without VR glasses and large-format projections, while still allowing them to participate in the collective surroundings of the museum. In our experience, we have found that personalised guided tours are the way in which we learn the most about the stories behind the exhibits. Engagement, expert knowledge and personal interaction help visitors to engage more intensively with a topic through questions and discussions. However, technology can also be a helpful support here: tourGuides or media guides with a group guiding module, for example, can ensure that the guide is easy and clear to understand, without disturbing other visitors or create sound spils.

supraCMS is the centrepiece of the tonwelt ecosystem. It\u2019s the content management system for supraGuides, web apps (browser-based app applications) and native apps for iOS and Android. This powerful tool has a wide range of editors and is optimised for maintaining and editing multilingual content. Interactive warnings note about missing content and previews show you how your content will be displayed on the media guides. The multi-platform CMS supports the maintenance of multiple sites and exhibitions and gives you the option of combining POIs into tours, deactivating them or cloning them as templates for other POIs.

The integration of media guides into the exhibition architecture and its AV systems is essential for a holistic visitor experience. A holistic and effective experience for visitors can only be created if the systems can interact with each other in a networked way. Our media guides have a variety of professional interfaces and are compatible with a range of industry standard systems.
